Fresh from his triumphant, dazzingly creative last album Harmonics, Joe Goddard it seems now has the power to channel cosmic vibes; speaking about their collaboration, Kaitlyn Aurelia described his the process with “I thought he was tapping into Neptune as a planet, and the qualities I felt it possesses…so my side of things brought out more space-themed sounds as a result.”
For the EP’s title track and opening statement of intent Goddard confesses to drawing more earthly inspiration from the work of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, but the back and forth between him and Aurelia shows them sparking off each other like twin satellites. Other highlight Rapid Fire cuts a distinctly Berliner streak of techno cool as well – and you won’t need a spacesuit to feel the atmosphere the pair create throughout.
