Souls originated as a project of producer/artist David Gledhill, who spends his time between Deal in Kent and Ibiza. After originally taking inspiration from uncovering field recordings of inter war American vocalists, on 2024’s Electronic States he decided to pay direct tribute instead to his alternate home.

To be more specific, this was the White Island as viewed through the prism of it’s late 80’s heyday, a period which if you were can remember you were probably never there and one that had an innocence which will never be recaptured.
