Goat. Swedish. Obviously bogus cover story about being raised from eggs by druids, or something. Musically veer between orbits best observed through a hookah haze. And yet.
None of this is to be taken seriously – although hell, its far less weird than the shit some governments are coming out with these days – but even stripped of the chintzy context, their recent outings have been worth waving your wand to.
2023’s Medicine grooved hard, pastiching in a devotional way the unsophisticated devilry of Black Sabbath and Jethro’s Tull’s folk rock. It’s stand out track though was Join the Resistance, a cover pared down from the thirteen minute original made by fellow-Swedes GÅS and a riffing monster that was a call to arms and Nordic kikr of ass in one. A groovy sonic charter, it was definitely one for when you and your friends were of a mind to fuck up some guys from Mordor – either the fictional, or the current equivalent.
