August Round Up

Holidays, eh? Days by the pool. An evening stroll along the promenade. A candlelit dinner and some romance.

Nope, me neither. But there was plenty here to take your mind of sunburn, someone’s towel over your favourite sunlounger and a cabaret act who could only bash out their versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Raining Blood.

Firstly at over four hours long there was the biggest playlist so far this year. Then there was the latest from Super Furry Animal Guto Pryce’s side project, Gulp, and you also met Leeds post punks Klammer. But the major news was the much anticipated  release of Joy As An Act Of Resistance by Bristolian champions Idles, also makers of last year’s #1 album.

The promise here is that none of this stuff will kick sand in your face – dive in.
